Safeguarding and Child Protection
Safeguarding statement
All our pupils have right to be safe and treated with respect.
At Langley Mill Academy our staff, volunteers and governors are committed to safeguarding.
We share a responsibility to protect children from abuse and neglect.
We are committed to ensuring that all staff and volunteers receive appropriate training to ensure that they are able to identify issues and report them immediately.
We work with agencies to support our children and their families as appropriate.
Our team is committed to ensuring that our children are not subject to radicalisation and the ideals of extremist groups. We have a culture of vigilance around all areas of Child Protection- details of which can be found in our Child Protection Policy which can be found in the policies section of this site.
We support the Government's Prevent Duty which protects our children from the effects of radicalisation and extremism.
